This may at first come as a surprise to you but most private business lenders have certain types of loans that they make to certain types of businesses. If you submit your loan application to a lender or investor who is does not make the kind of loan that you need or is not interested in lending to your kind of business, you will get a polite “no” or “not interested” from the lender without much of an explanation of why you were denied financing. Knowing which lender/investor to present your loan proposal to is probably the most critical step in getting business financing.
